Epigenetic Regulation by Protein Phosphatases in Drosphila
£29,138 pa
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary research team in the laboratory of Dr Daimark Bennett, you will undertake research to characterise the role and regulation of a putative interphase histone H3 phosphatase. You should have (or be about to obtain) a PhD in a relevant subject and have an interest in epigenetic mechanisms with research laboratory experience in Drosophila molecular genetics. Experience of analysing polytene chromosomes or of using molecular biological techniques such as chromatin immunoprecipitation to examine transcriptional mechanisms would be advantageous. The post is funded by the Wellcome Trust for 30 months initially.
