Description
Post-doctoral position on “Innate Immune signaling in intestinalhomeostasis and defence towards enteropathogens”
Project: Our laboratory is affiliated to Inserm. We are interested inelucidating the critical processes involved in both engagement ofphysiological and pathological innate immune signaling in regards totissue homeostasis and host defence towards certain enteropathogens. Wehave recently shown that Nod2, a molecule sensing bacterial muramyldipeptide, regulates intestinal defence towards bacterial infection andplay a major role in Crohn’s disease development. A post-doctoralposition is available in our laboratory to further dissect theregulation of innate immune signaling in the intestinal mucosa andrelated barrier organs. The successful candidate will use and developnovel mouse models and appropriate cell-based assays.
Candidate profile: PhD and/or MD Candidates with outstanding expertisein molecular/cellular biology, antimicrobial immunology and/ormicrobiology. Fluent knowledge of the English and skills in pathologyand mouse experiments are mandatory. Strongly motivated individuals areencouraged to submit a letter of interest, a CV and two referencesletters to mathias.chamaillard@ibl.fr
