UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD

Postdoctoral Research Associate- Regulation of chromatin function byhistone demethylases
We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral research associate toinvestigate how JmjC-domain containing histone demethylase enzymesregulate chromatin function and transcription.
Applicants should possess a PhD or equivalent and be able to demonstratea keen interest in chromatin biology. The post holder should be a welltrained and motivated scientist with a strong background in biochemistryand molecular biology. In particular, expertise working with mammaliantissue culture systems, chromatin-immunoprecipitation, and RNAi would beadvantageous. The project may also involve microarray and large scalesequencing approaches so the candidate would benefit from bioinformaticskills that could be applied to these aspects of the study. The postwill rely on the candidate working closely with other lab members andwill require good communication and teamwork skills.
The post is funded by the Wellcome Trust for up to 3 years in the first instance.
This position is graded on the University’s Grade 7 pay scale, for whichthe salary range is £26,666 – £32,796 per annum. The actual startingsalary offered will be based on qualifications and relevant skillsacquired and will also be determined by the funding available.
