The National Institute on Aging (NIA), a major research component of theNational Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Health andHuman Services (HHS), is recruiting for a postdoctoral position in theNeuroplasticity and Behavior Unit (NBU), Laboratory of Neurosciences(LNS) in the Intramural Research Program (IRP) at the NIA.

The postdoctoral position is available to study neural circuitsimportant for learning and memory. Areas of investigation include therole of exercise, dietary supplementation and adult neurogenesis inmemory function.

The candidate for this position should have experience in one or more ofthe following fields of research: electrophysiology (patch clamp inbrain slices), imaging, behavior.

The candidate must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field and lessthan 5 years of postdoctoral experience. Candidates with a strong workethic and excellent written and presentation skills are encouraged toapply. The NIA IRP offers an outstanding training environment.
