We are seeking for a motivated and skilled scientist to work as a postdoc in Centro de Botânica Aplicada à Agricultura (CBAA) Research Group “Microorganisms, Food and Beverages” at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA) of the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (UTL), Portugal. The post is for three years and requires funding application outside CBAA. Apllication deadline for the position is December 31st , 2010.
The candidate should have a degree in Life Sciences or Agricultural Engineering.
Project: Molecular and biochemical characterization of Vitis vinifera aquaporins upon their heterologous expression in yeast
Project summary: We offer a postdoc project integrated in the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) financed project “AQUAVITIS – Understanding water transport in Vitis vinifera: biochemical characterization of aquaporins upon their heterologous expression in yeast”.
The work will be focused on the molecular and biochemical characterization of Vitis vinifera aquaporins using S.cerevisiae as an heterologous expression system.
