Description:
A fully funded post-doctoral scholar position is immediately available in Timothy Niewold’s lab at the University of Chicago in the Section of Rheumatology/Gwen Knapp Center for Lupus Research. Our group is focused on human genetics and translational research in the autoimmune disease lupus, and this position involves exploration of the function of disease-associated genetic polymorphisms in human cells.
Required skills: cell culture experiments involving human cell lines and primary human cells, as well as multi-color flow cytometry, RNA/DNA techniques, and multiplex real-time PCR experiments. Previous experience in human genetics and human disease research is highly recommended.
Applicants must have obtained their doctoral degree less than 3 years ago, and be available to start immediately or within a few months.
