Description:

A post-doctoral position is available in the Machida laboratory at Mayo Clinic to study abnormal proliferation and genome instability in cancer. We are particularly interested in protein ubiquitination and its role in the cell cycle and genome maintenance (Genes & Dev. 21, 184-194; Mol Cell 23, 589-596; JBC 284, 34179-34188). The successful candidate will investigate the role of the ubiquitin-mediated signaling in the maintenance of genome integrity and tumor suppression using tissue culture and knockout mouse techniques.
