Description:
Our group is interested in the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in life-span regulation and pathophysiology in neurodegenerative diseases, metabolic disorders and in the aging process. We are generating mouse models with systemic or tissue-specific mitochondrial dysfunction and, along with already existing murine lines, will study to molecular and cellular effect of the mitochondrial dysfunction.
We are a young, dynamic group which is integrated in an excellent, collaborative and international scientific environment at the University of Cologne (Center of Molecular Medicine, Excellence Cluster for Aging Research – CECAD). To complement our team, we are looking for a highly motivated and qualified
Postdoctoral fellow (Ph.D. in biochemistry or biology)
