A postdoc and a technician position are available in the group of Prof. Gianluigi Condorelli at the Institute of Biomedical Technologies (ITB), National Research Council (CNR).
The laboratory is studying the functional role of microRNAs and signaling pathways in cardiac function and disease by utilizing genetically engineered mouse models, miniaturized physiological technology, imaging, and a range of molecular and cell biological techniques.
The lab is located at the ITB-CNR and works in close collaboration with the Multimedica Hospital, a centre of excellence for cardiovascular medicine recognized by the Italian Minister of Health. The ITB-CNR is located at the Advanced Technology Interdisciplinary Laboratories building (LITA) in close vicinity to the San Raffaele research center and Milan University.
Highly motivated candidates with significant experience in in vivo cardiac physiology analyses, including Doppler echocardiography, invasive hemodynamics, transaortic constriction and other cardiac surgery are encouraged to apply. Experience in cardiomyocyte isolation and calcium analysis is preferred, but not a requirement. The successful candidate should be highly motivated, display initiative and independence, and have good verbal and written English communication skills. Salary will be based on experience.
