Applicants for a post doctoral position are invited to join a team lead by Pr Ziad Massy in the research unit INSERM ERI 12. Funded by a grant from a pharmaceutical company, this position is tenable for 1 year and will start no later than October 2009. Our laboratory is located in Amiens, France.
Our group focus is the evaluation of vascular calcification during chronic kidney disease (CKD). Our project seeks particularly to examine the role of new treatment to prevent this vascular calcification using a model developed in apolipoprotein E knock out (apoE-/-) mice.
The candidate should have expertise in small animals’ cardiovascular surgery and microvessels preparation. Additional experiences in molecular biology techniques in microvessels are desirable but not required.
