The Junior Research Group “Molecular Infectiology” (AG Papadopoulou) atthe Institute of Medical Microbiology, Immunology and Hygiene of theUniversity Cologne is inviting applications for
Postdoctoral and PhD-student Positions
We are seeking highly motivated scientists to develop and executeresearch projects on gene regulation of immune response to microbial pathogens.
These research positions are funded for 2 years, starting September 2008with the possibility of extension for another 3 years according to TV-Lin the laboratory of Dr. N. Papadopoulou.
Applicants with a strong background in molecular immunology, with anemphasis on gene regulation by RNAi and signal transduction, who areinterested in working in a newly established junior group associatedwith the SFB 670 collaborative project in Cell Autonomous Immunity(http://www.sfb670.uni-koeln.de) are particularly welcome to apply.Previous practical experience on infectiology and microRNAs would be anasset. However, we will also consider enthusiastic researchers withexperience in molecular biology, genetics or cell biology.
Female scientists are particularly encouraged to apply and will bepreferentially considered if suitably qualified.
We also welcome applications from disabled candidates, who also will bepreferentially considered if suitably qualified.
