Description

Determination of crystal structures of different proteins (membrane-intrinsic receptors, DNA-binding, and other proteins) using the Berlin synchrotron BESSY and other synchrotrons. In addition, we study structures of components of or associated with photosystem II. These studies involve mainly X-ray diffraction and possibly neutron diffraction.
The successful candidate will also be engaged in teaching with us a lab coure in protein crystallography.The laboratory is well equipped with apparatus for X-ray diffraction, biochemistry and molecular biology.
The position is open from now for 2 years, salary according to German BAT IIa.

RequirementsWe are looking for a highly motivated and team oriented postdoc with knowledge in biochemistry (protein purification), molecular biology or related sciences with profound experience in X-ray structure analysis of proteins.
