Description
A postdoctoral position is available to work on fluorescence / phosphorescence based oxygen sensors for food and packaging applications. The position, funded by the Irish Department of Agriculture, is for one year with possible extension.
The successful candidates will join the dynamic team of the Biophysics and Bioanalysis lab, Biochemistry Department, UCC which is accommodated in the new Cavanagh Pharmacy Building on UCC campus, fully equipped with advanced instrumentation, has well-developed infrastructure and proven record of research accomplishments.
Suitably qualified candidates must have good, hands-on experience in optochemical sensors, material chemistry, fluorescence spectroscopy and time-resolved fluorescence. Good knowledge of food microbiology, engineering and computing skills are preferred.
