A POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN MOLECULAR AND CELL BIOLOGY OF ALZHEIMER’SDISEASE AND OTHER NEURODEGENERATIVE DISORDERS is available at the Centerfor Dementia Research at the Nathan Kline Institute in the laboratory ofEfrat Levy, Ph.D., participating in a highly interactive program projectaddressing basic and translational Alzheimer’s disease research. TheInstitute, an affiliate of NYU School of Medicine situated close to NewYork City, provides a rich multidisciplinary environment forpostdoctoral training.
The position available involves studies of cellular and animal models toinvestigate the pathology of the endosomal/autophagic/lysosome system inAlzheimer’s disease, and the protective role the cysteine proteaseinhibitor cystatin C plays in brain injury and in Alzheimer’s disease.
