A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. BernhardKühn in the Department of Cardiology at Children’s Hospital Boston withan appointment as research fellow at Harvard Medical School. Ourresearch field is myocardial regeneration. We use a combination of cellbiology and mouse genetics to study the cellular and molecularmechanisms of cardiomyocyte proliferation. Currently available projectsfocus on the regulation of the cardiomyocyte cell cycle. The laboratoryis equipped for cell and molecular biology, mouse genetics, and smallanimal cardiovascular manipulations and analyses.
We seek highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with a strongbackground in cell biology or signal transduction. Experience inmolecular biology and microscopy is desired, but not required.Scientists and physician-scientists interested in cardiac regenerationand in high-throughput screens are also encouraged to apply. Applicantsshould have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with 0–2 years of postdoctoralresearch experience. Although funding is available, applicants will beencouraged to apply for external support.
