Berkeley Lab is a multi-program national research facility operated bythe University of California for the Department of Energy (DOE). Ourfundamental mission is to provide national scientific leadership andtechnological innovation to support DOE objectives.
Outstanding recent Ph.D. recipients are invited to compete for the 2008Lawrence Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. Students who expect to receivetheir Ph.D. degree by October 1, 2008 are also invited to apply.
The program provides unique and challenging opportunities to conductresearch in the following areas:
• Computing Sciences
• Physical Sciences
• Energy Sciences
• Biosciences
• General Sciences
Fellows become integral members of research teams, gain exposure tocurrent national issues, share and exchange innovative ideas andtechniques, and enhance professional development.
Fellows also gain access to a valuable combination of outstandingprofessional staff, scientific equipment and facilities, and ongoingresearch and development available at other participating laboratories.
