Description
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher in theconstruction and development of genomic molecular biosensors librariesin the department of Molecular Microbiology.
The successful candidate will join a team working in the area of plantmicrobe interactions and in the development of environmental biosensors.Further details of this project and the laboratory can be found at http://www.rhizobium.net/position.htm
The post holder will be responsible for the construction of genomiclibraries from sequenced bacteria and for the isolation of novelbiosensors using FAC sorting.
The John Innes Centre is a world-class Institute and is looking toappoint an exceptional candidate who has, or expects to soon receive, aPhD in microbiology, molecular biology, or biochemistry. We will beproviding the job holder with opportunities to develop their technicaland transferable skills during this assignment, by way of trainingprogrammes, coaching and mentoring.
Essential skills required are an ability to critically analysebiochemical and genetic data and expertise in molecular cloning.
The appointment will be as a Postdoctoral Researcher and the salary willbe within the range £24,200 to £27,200 (pay award pending) dependentupon qualifications and experience.
