The WiCell™ Research Institute, a wholly owned subsidiary of theWisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, is seeking an experiencedindividual to join its team. WiCell™ is a dynamic independent researchinstitution with a primary research focus in human embryonic stem cells,a rapidly growing research field with tremendous potential to affect ourunderstanding of basic human biology, improve drug development, andpotentially improve human health.
The WiCell™ Research Institute has locations adjacent to the UniversityCampus and University Research Park in Madison, Wisconsin. We offer acompetitive salary and an excellent benefit package. Please viewwww.wicell.org for more information.
Responsibilities
Work under the supervision of one of Wisconsin’s leading stem cellscientists to define cellular and molecular pathways of hematopoieticand endothelial development from human embryonic stem cells. Generalduties include but are not limited to: cell culture, embryonic stem celltransfection, conditional gene expression, molecular cloning, genetictracing using the Cre/LoxP system, microarray data analysis, and in vivoengraftment assays.
Qualifications
Doctoral training in hematopoiesis, or cellular and molecular biology.Previous experience in culturing human embryonic stem cells is notrequired; however, experience in sterile cell culture techniques ispreferred. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonalskills are required, as well as a track record of peer reviewedpublications. US work authorization is preferred.
