Postdoctoral research associate, visiting scientist positions areimmediately available at The University of Texas
Health Center at Tyler (UTHCT), to study the mechanisms of lung injuriesand other hyper- or hypo-secretive
pulmonary diseases, for instance, asthma, COPD, and allergy. Thepotential candidates should have an M.D. and/or Ph.
D. degree and a strong background in biochemistry and molecular biology.Preference will be given to those with
significant experience in cloning, mutagenesis, 2D gel, real-timeRT-PCR, and transgenic studies. Research experience
in electrophysiology is a plus. Applicants should have demonstratedscientific productivity, good inter-personal
and communication skills, and be able to conduct independent research.Salary will be commensurate with experience
and skills. The Health Center is a basic and clinical research institutefocusing on lung diseases. Research laboratories
within the Health Center are housed in a modern facility equipped withstate of the art instrumentation.
