Description
The Biophotonics Lab in the Center for Biomedical Engineering,University of Kentucky, invites applications for PostdoctoralResearcher/Graduate Students/Visiting Scholar positions. The Labdevelops optical spectroscopy/tomography for the measurements of bloodflow, oxygenation and oxygen metabolism in normal and diseased tissuesof animals and humans. The motivation is to explore the feasibility ofoptical instruments for diagnosis of various diseases and longitudinalmonitoring of therapies. The goal is to create a strong biophotonicsresearch and teaching program, which vertically integrates physics,optics, engineering and clinical applications.
Responsibilities will consist of design and development of experimentalspectroscopy/imaging systems, image reconstruction algorithms, and invivo monitoring of tissue hemodynamics.
