Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and motivated postdoctoralresearch scientist to join Dr W Niedzwiedz’s at the Weatherall Instituteof Molecular Medicine (University of Oxford). The project, which isfunded by the Association for International Cancer Research (AICR),focuses on dissecting the role of Fanconi Anaemia (FA) proteins in DNArepair and replication fork stability.

The position is available until 30th August 2010 in the first instance,although it is anticipated that it will continue dependant on furthergrant support. It provides opportunities to develop research projectskills as well as collaborative links with colleagues within the Oxfordarea and elsewhere

You will have, or expect to soon complete, a Ph.D in Molecularbiology/Biochemistry or equivalent subject and a strong background inchromatin immunoprecipitation (CHIP), protein expression andpurification. Expertise in a broad range of molecular-biological andbiochemical techniques (cloning, sequencing, PCR, purification of DNA,RNA, confocal microscopy etc.) is highly desirable but not necessary.Successful candidates should be capable of working in a teamenvironment. They should have demonstrated creativity, technicalindependence, and good communication skills in previous positions.
