Description
An enthusiastic and motivated post doctoral research assistant isrequired to work on structural and functional studies of prokaryotic ionchannels. The successful applicant will join the Potassium ChannelResearch Group headed by Dr Stephen J. Tucker which will shortly betransferring to new custom built laboratories in the Biological PhysicsUnit, based in the Department of Physics.
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in the biomedical, biochemical,biophysical, or related sciences, and have significant experience of ionchannel functional studies (e.g. patch clamp electrophysiology orrecordings in artificial lipid bilayers), additional experience inmolecular biological techniques will also be an advantage.
This post is available immediately and is funded by the Wellcome Trustfor a maximum of three years.
