Description
This is a full-time fellowship position to work in apoptosis regulationin cancer (K1 Protein of Human Herpesvirus 8 Suppresses Fas-mediatedApoptosis. Blood 109(5):2174-82.2007). The candidate will carry outlaboratory based investigations to identify and demonstrate mechanismsof apoptosis regulation, primarily through use of expressed mutants andproteins in mice. We are identifying inhibitors of death receptorspresent in cancer cells. The research experience will include didacticsessions and training essential for eventual establishment of anindependent research track. Applicants with first-author publicationsare encourage to apply. Strong analytical skills and background inmolecular biology, cell biology are essential. Experience in signaltransduction would be a plus. A competitive salary with an excellentcompensation and benefits package will be provided.
