Description
A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at University of Maryland, Baltimore to study molecular networks linking metabolism, gene-diet interactions and bioenergetics to cell growth and carcinogenesis. We are focused on identifying transcriptional networks linking nutrient signaling to metabolism and aberrant cell growth. These studies will involve identification of transcription factor complexes and characterization of protein-protein and DNA-protein interactions and their control of gene expression at the molecular, cellular and whole organism level. We are looking for individuals who desire a stimulating, interactive and exciting work environment and are well trained in cell and molecular biology.
Applicants must possess a PhD degree (or equivalent), should have excellent oral and written communication skills, and display initiative as well as independence.
