Description:
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available immediately in the Department of Neurosurgery, School of medicine at Emory University. We invite applications from highly motivated individuals for a postdoc position on mouse and human neural stem cells and cancer stem cells. The successful candidates will investigate the role of normal and cancer stem cells in brain tumor development and progression, using genetically engineered mouse models of brain tumors. Our lab is seeking independent and creative individuals with a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and a strong interest and training in neuroscience and/or cancer biology. You should have experience with standard techniques in cell/molecular biology and cell culture. Experience with transgenic animal models and small animal brain surgery would be advantageous. Good command to the English language is essential.
