Description:
Full-time Biochemistry postdoctoral position is available at UC San Diego. We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join our laboratory. Applicants with a strong background in protein and nucleic acids biochemistry, DNA replication and transcription regulation, DNA repair are particularly encouraged to apply. We are interested in structure and function studies of protein-DNA complexes in DNA damage processing pathways.
Successful candidates should have or going to have a Ph.D. degree (within the last three years) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Genetics or related disciplines. Applicants should have a strong research background and solid trainings in steady-state enzyme kinetic studies; molecular cloning, expression and purification of recombinant proteins in bacteria and yeast system.
Applicants should have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong background and publication record.
