A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately to study the role of Hsp90 and Hsp70 chaperones in malignant transformation. The fellow will investigate mechanisms associated with Hsp-regulation of malignancy and will design rational strategies for the clinical translation of Hsp90 and Hsp70 inhibitors to the treatment of cancers. These efforts will be conducted in collaboration with scientists at Weill Cornell Medical College.

The fellow will join a multidisciplinary team operating at the interface of chemistry, biology and medicine. The team’s efforts focus on understanding mechanisms associated with regulation of pathogenic systems by molecular chaperones (Rodina et al. Nat Chem Biol 2007, Luo et al. PNAS 2007, Caldas et al. PNAS 2009, Cerchietti et al. Nat Med 2009, Marubayashi et al. JCI 2010).
