The Optical Bio-Sensing Laboratory (http://biomed.tamu.edu/obsl/) focuses on the development of biological sensors and diagnostic systems using optical techniques such as Raman and fluorescence spectroscopy, optical polarimetry, near-infrared perfusion sensing, and particle image/tracking velocimetry.
At the moment we are primarily seeking a postdoctoral candidate with experience in polarization optics to work on a funded NIH grant toward the development of an optical polarimetric glucose sensor. It would be helpful, but not required, if the candidate also had training in rabbit animal handling.
