Description:
A postdoctoral position is available immediately in Dr. García-Sancho’s laboratory at the Instituto de Biología y Genética Molecular (IBGM), in the University of Valladolid, Spain.
The project will focus on the role of calcium signaling in the pathophysiology of Alzheimer disease (AD). The post holder will investigate Ca2+ dynamics inside organelles (mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum) of living neurons in a mouse model of AD. Skills in preparation of brain/hippocampus slices would be much appreciated. Experience in other techniques such as calcium imaging, electrophysiology, molecular biology, cell biology and protein chemistry is a plus. We are looking for a highly motivated individual. Recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply. EU citizenship is required.
