We are an innovative group at the University of Utah who is developing new drug delivery systems for HIV prevention. We have immediate openings for two postdoctoral fellows in drug delivery. Our research is focused on applying controlled and triggered release principles to the design of microbicidal vaginal drug delivery systems for preventing sexual transmission of HIV. We are working on projects that range from new materials discovery that could lead to new advanced microbicides, the development of new assays to evaluate microbicide products, and sustained delivery system projects some of which are developed enough to begin in pre-clinical trials.

The candidate will be responsible with:
- development of stable liquid, semi-solid and solid dosage forms
- design, coordination, and efficient execution of preformulation and formulation testing of antiviral compounds
