Description:
We are looking for a postdoctoral scientist to join our team, which investigates the cellular and molecular mechanisms controlling laminar fate specification in the developing cerebral cortex (see Seuntjens et. al (2009) Nature Neuroscience, 12(11):1373-80; Britanova et al (2008) Neuron, 57(3):378-92; Miquelajauregui et al (2007) PNAS, 104 (31) 12919-12924). Applicants should have a PhD and an excellent track record in a related field. Good understanding of biochemistry, DNA technology and/or knowledge in BAC transgenic mice production is highly advantageous. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the cellular and molecular analysis of genes involved in the control of cortical development. Our young, international team is a part of the rapidly growing neuroscience community in Berlin.
