The faculty mentor for this position will be Dr.GABOR J TIGYI. Postdoctoral position in the Department of Physiology, University of Tennessee Health Science Center Memphis is available to study antiapoptotic signal transduction through GPCR macromolecular complexes (JBC 2009, 284:14558-71). Candidates should be highly motivated and have demonstrated previous experience with co-immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, signal transduction, and molecular cloning techniques. The department is ranked 4th among its peers based on extramural funding and offers an outstanding training environment. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in biochemistry, or cell biology, or a related discipline and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Competitive salary with benefits is provided.
