Description
A post-doctoral position is available to study neurodegeneration / neuroprotection in cell culture and mouse models of Parkinson’s disease. Primary focus is on the mitochondrial pathway. Major techniques available in the lab include: cell cultures, stereotaxic surgery, in vivo microdialysis, HPLC, stereology, confocal imaging, immunohistochemistry/immunocytochemistry, and other standard molecular biology methods such as Western blotting and RT-PCR.
Applicants must have a PhD in Neuroscience, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry and a strong interest in neurodegeneration. These highly motivated candidates must have expertise in molecular biology or protein-protein interactions.
