Description
The newly established Hemostasis Research Program in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, invites applications for a postdoctoral position with an initial term of two years and a possibility of the third year based on productivity. The successful candidate will investigate post-transcriptional mechanisms governing expression of Tissue Factor (TF) and Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor (TFPI) in blood/vascular cells, and conduct experiments aimed at elucidation of the biologic properties of alternatively spliced Tissue Factor (asTF).
Requirements: Doctoral degree in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Cell Biology, or Life Sciences. Excellent skills in molecular and cellular biology with an emphasis on RNA expression/reporter construct methodologies, microRNA techniques, and biochemistry are highly relevant; prior experience with angiogenesis assays is desirable.
Salary range: $37,000 – $40,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications.
