Description
The role forms part of the Stroke Research Group, based in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, which uses the state-of-the-art imaging facilities at the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre (WBIC) and associated laboratories on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The job holder will contribute to the ongoing projects to further understand the mechanisms underlying haemorrhagic stroke using in vivo imaging (PET and MRI), as part of a Biomedical Research Centre-funded research programme.
Duties will involve participating in imaging studies including data acquisition, image processing (both PET and MRI), parametric map generation using standard tracer kinetic modelling, and image analysis in relation to clinical data. To this end the job holder will use various sets of software. The job-holder will have direct contact with patients and relatives and access to confidential clinical data.
