Description
Post-doctoral position is immediately available for highly motivated individual to investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms responsible for acute postoperative pain.
Candidates should have a M.D. or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline. Experience in the following is helpful but not required (1) expertise in the application of molecular biological techniques to questions of importance in neurobiology, particularly at the systems level; (2) isolation and quantitation of RNA, DNA, and protein; (3) immunohistochemistry or in situ hybridization; (4) handling of small laboratory animals and aseptic survival surgery; (5) strong written and oral communications skills.
Desired qualifications include (1) excellent organizational skills, attention to detail (2) good interpersonal skills (3) knowledge of the neurobiology of pain and analgesia pathways
