Establishment of new generation sequencing technology aimed at investigating epigenetic alterations in pre-leukaemic and leukaemic cells
The project will use well-studied models of human acute myeloid leukaemia to investigate alterations in epigenotypes and chromatin structure as compared to normal cells.
With a PhD in a relevant subject area and postdoctoral laboratory experience in cell and molecular biology, you will have practical experience in the culture of haematopoietic cells, cloning and transfection assays. Knowledge of modern concepts of gene regulation and the haematopoietic system is required.
The project is funded by the Candlelighter’s Charity and is a collaboration between the laboratories of Professor Bonifer and the group of Professor David Westhead (Head of Bioinformatics, School of Biology).
