Description
The Roslin Institute is a world-leading research organisation in the animal sciences, part of the University of Edinburgh, and associated with the University of Edinburgh’s Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (RDSVS) to form a new expanded organisation. The Institute will occupy a major new Institute Building at Easter Bush in 2010, in a beautiful rural environment just south of Edinburgh.
We invite applications for two postdoctoral positions in The Roslin Institute to join the group of the director, Professor David Hume FRSE.
Research Fellow-Molecular Biology
£29,704- £35,469
The post will work on a core-funded post with Professor Hume on the transcriptional regulation of the CSF-1 receptor locus in mouse and rat and the molecular biology of macrophage differentiation. The work will involve targeted mutagenesis of the locus in ES cells.
The position is available for 2 years in the first instance. The appointee will preferably have specific skills in cultivation of ES cells, with gene targeting expertise and animal experience.
