The Department of Ophthalmology, University Medical CenterHamburg-Eppendorf offers a postdoctoral research position. The positionis available for an initial 2 years, with the option for extension.
The research at the Department of Ophthalmology concentrates on theanalysis of pathomechanisms of degenerative retinal disorders. TheDepartment is particularly interested in the development of stemcell-based or pharmacological therapeutic approaches for the treatmentof retinal disorders using transgenic mouse or cell culture models.Ideal candidates should have experience in animal experimentation,molecular biology, cell biology and/or biochemistry. The successfulcandidate will work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of basicscientists and clinicians.
