Description

Post-doctoral positions are available from fall 2008 in the Mucosal Immunity lab at the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California located at down town Los Angeles to investigate the early/late steps of induction of innate and adaptive immunity in response to respiratory allergens and to explore the mechanisms by which those responses contribute to inflammatory, autoimmune allergic diseases and asthma; and determine means by which those responses can be specifically manipulated. We are particularly interested in T cell, NKT cells and dendritic cell subsets in the lungs.

We are looking for interested candidates with a Ph.D. degree in Immunology with experiences in molecular and immunological techniques, such as ELISA, flow cytometry, tissue culture and PCR.To qualify, applicants must have at least one first-authored publication in a peer-reviewed international journal.
Research laboratories are housed in a modern facility with the state-of-the-art equipments such as latest flow cytometry and confocal microscopy.
