Post-doctoral Position:
Apoptosis Regulation & Targeting in Cancer
Dr. King F. Kwong

A Postdoctoral Research position is available in our laboratory at the Center for Cancer Research, NCI. The laboratory functions as an integrated basic and translational research program in the area of developing novel treatments which target the apoptosis pathways in cancer.

The successful candidate will be involved in basic and translational research efforts directed at examining the biology of apoptosis deregulation in lung cancer and also the development and evaluation of novel therapeutics in both cell culture and mouse model systems.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D., MD/PhD, or equivalent degree in molecular biology, with receipt of the last graduate degree within the past 5 years. M.D. applicants should have a significant past laboratory research experience prior to application. A strong background in cellular and/or molecular biology and previous research experience in the field of cancer and/or apoptosis are highly desirable. The position is available until filled. Initial appointment is renewable up to 5 years. Stipends are commensurate with education and experience. The successful candidate may need to complete an on-site interview process and deliver a brief research presentation.
