Description

The faculty mentor for this position will be Dr.GABOR J TIGYI. Postdoctoral position at the Department of Physiology, University of Tennessee Health Science Center Memphis. Postdoctoral researcher is sought to pursue antiapoptotic signal transduction studies through GPCR macromolecular complexes. Candidates should be highly motivated to develop a strong research track record and have previous experience with cell biological techniques including co-immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence and FRET techniques. The department is ranked 7th among its peers based on extramural funding and offers an excellent training environment with the potential for the applicants to submit grant applications on their own. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in biochemistry, or cell biology or a related discipline and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. NIH funding is available for up to 5 years. Competitive salary with health benefits is provided.
