Description

The faculty mentor for this position will be Dr.WEN LIN SUN. ANIDA-funded post-doctoral position is available to study theneurobiological mechanisms underlying cocaine addiction in theDepartment of Pharmacology at University of Tennessee Health ScienceCenter. An integrated approach combining behavior, pharmacology andelectrophysiology (in behaving rats) is used to study the neuralcircuitry, neurotransmitter systems, and neuroplasticity underlying thepersistent effects of cocaine conditioned stimuli on cocaine-seekingbehavior. Candidates with experience of drug self-administration andstereotaxic surgery are highly desirable.

Qualifications: M. D. or Ph. D. in pharmacology, neuroscience,experimental psychology, and other related areas. Salary will becommensurate with the relevant experience.
