Research Fellow or Research Associate positions are open in amultidisciplinary glycobiology laboratory dedicated to defining themicrobiota of the human intestine with respect to the biologicalfunctions of dietary glycans and glycan expression in the intestine.Projects include: role of intestinal glycans in gut colonization,measuring the role of human milk glycans as part of an innate immunesystem that inhibits enteric pathogens, naturally occurring glycans thatmodulate mucosal immunity.
We are seeking creative and highly motivated individuals capable ofexecuting research independently. Successful applicants will have anadvanced degree, expertise, or experience in one or more of thefollowing: microbiology and molecular biology for definition of humangut microbiome (DNA microarray and RT-PCR analysis), instrumentalanalysis (HPLC, CE, LC/MS), biochemistry (isolation and purification ofglycans), or cell biology (intestinal mucosa, signal transduction).
Our glycobiology program is an international collaborative researcheffort that is now expanding and offers many opportunities forscientific interactions and advancement.
