A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory ofDr. Bertrand Joseph at the Institute of Environmental Medicine, KI, towork on a project examining the role for histones modifications inregulating cancer cell response to DNA damages and programmed celldeath. The aim of the project is to test the hypothesis that inhibitionof histones tail modifying enzymes might leads to an epigeneticreprogramming of cancer cells as well as neuronal cells, with themodulation of expression of a specific set of genes that, in turn, couldresult in the activation of apoptotic cell death.
The position is initially for 1 year with a possible extension for 2years, depending on the performance and progress of the project. Due tolocal scholarship regulations, candidates must have earned their PhD ata university outside of Sweden. To learn more about our research pleasevisit our website.
