A postdoctoral position is available starting in Autumn 2008, in thefield of Bioinformatics & Computational Biology, at the Dept. ofBiology, McGill University, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada(http://www.biology.mcgill.ca). The specific project
entails bioinformatic analysis relating to protein misfolding /amyloidogenesis /prion formation.
The research will be performed under the supervision of Prof. P.Harrison, Dept. of Biology, McGill University. The project will be fortwo years, and is part of the PrioNet Canada research network (http://www.prionetcanada.ca/).
Previous experience in bioinformatic research is highlydesirable.Specifically, knowledge of protein structure and of thebioinformatic analysis of evolution is also desirable. Applicants shouldhave, or expect to obtain, a Ph.D.
