A post-doctoral position is available in the Molecular Embryology Teamled by Professor Peter W. J. Rigby to investigate the molecularmechanisms of skeletal muscle specification and differentiation in thedeveloping mouse embryo. We are interested in the transcriptionalregulation of several determination genes during development (Myf5,Mrf4, HoxB4, FoxO1, Pax3, Pax7; seehttp://www.icr.ac.uk/gfr/teams/molemb.html), with particular interest onthe global regulation of complex gene loci (see Carvajal et al., 2008,Genes & Development 22: 265-276).
Candidates should have a PhD in the Biological/Biochemical sciences andpriority will be given to candidates with a strong background indevelopmental biology/anatomy research, transcriptional regulationresearch and/or transgenic mouse research.
