POST DOCTORAL POSITION available immediately in the Laboratory ofAllergic Diseases within the National Institutes of
Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health.Applicants should possess a Ph.D. and/or M.D with a
solid background in molecular biology, with experience in cell biologyand animal models desirable. The position would be
particularly appealing to individuals with the above background who havean interest in signal transduction mechanisms. The
successful candidate would be expected to take a multidisciplinaryapproach to explore the molecular regulation of systemic
mastocytosis and mast cell related diseases. Studies would be aimed atthe identification of genomic regions, single
nucleotide polymorphisms, novel genetic mutations and gene-geneinteractions which contribute to the phenotypic variance in
signaling processes which lead to mast cell hyperplasia.
