Description
The Molecular Virology and Vaccines Branch is recruiting an outstandingscientist to develop improved influenza vaccines. Successful applicantswill have a solid publication record and demonstrated expertise in areasof virus-host interaction relevant to live vaccine vector development,including virus tropism, modulation of host signaling, antigenpresentation and elicitation of immunologic memory at systemic andmucosal sites.
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, preferablyincluding work with RNA viruses. CDC offers excellent opportunities topursue efforts to develop new vaccines for public health preparednessand intervention. The CDC offers excellent infrastructure for molecular,cellular and organismal research approaches, including state-of-the-artproteomics, HT screening, protein interaction, bioinformatics facilitiesas well as BLS-3-enhanced laboratory and animal facilities.
