Description
NIH funded postdoctoral position is immediately available for highlymotivated individuals with PhD in molecular biology/biochemistry/cancerbiology or related discipline. The lab is interested in basicmechanistic and translational research focusing on bzip transcriptionfactor, Nrf2. Previous work from the lab have demonstrated that thistranscription factor determines the susceptibility and severity ofemphysema, asthma, cancer and various pulmonary diseases by regulatingenvironmental stress response- http://www.jhsph.edu/labs/biswal. Theproject involves the molecular mechanism of Nrf2 dependent regulation ofstress response and inflammation in different lung inflammatory diseasesas well as translational aspect of targeting this transcription factorfor intervening diseases in preclinical models and clinical trials.Individuals with a productive track record and experience in molecularbiology are encouraged to apply. This is a NIH training grant positionwhich is restricted to US citizen or permanent resident only.
